Danville Yoga and Meditation Center, Inc. incorporated on December 31, 2003. Founders Rosemary Andrews and Karen Maute both trained at the North Carolina School of Yoga which has since developed into the Shanti Niketan Ashram. Gratitude is given to Chandra Om and her Guru Sri Dharma Mittra.
The Danville Yoga and Meditation Center, located in Danville, Virginia, is a small, comfortable space dedicated to promoting the well-being of all who enter. Small classes allow our certified, dedicated and experienced instructors and therapists to safely guide you.
January, 2019, he torch was passed. Cyndi Reames , new owner of Danville Yoga and Meditation Center, will continue the legacy of Karen Maute by providing quality teachers and yoga classes to our community and region.
Karen studied under the guidance of Chandra Om at the North Carolina School of Yoga. Chandra, venerated and world renowned spiritual teacher, formed Shanti Niketan Ashram in 2011.
Cyndi, a graduate of Danville Hot Asana has been teaching at the Center since April 2018. She recently completed her 500 hour certification at K10Yoga in Winston Salem, NC. Cyndi's enthusiasm has brought positive changes and "heat" to the Center!
